Nicholas A. Newsad, MHSA, CPCV

Nicholas A. Newsad, MHSA, CPCV, is a healthcare valuation consultant. Over 20 years, has been involved in over 400 healthcare business transactions and thousands of physician contracts. Healthcare attorneys call Nick to determine Fair Market Value for big, hairy healthcare deals that no one else will take (or understand). His bread and butter projects include:

  • complex physician practice management arrangements in CPOM states;
  • business valuations for Certificates of Need, out-of-network businesses, & start-ups;
  • physician compensation arrangements for which little or no market survey data exists;
  • compensation for Nobel Prize winners and top 10 leading experts in their fields;
  • intellectual property licensing; and
  • unlisted CPT service pricing.

Nick has prepared independent reports for review by former California Attorney General Kamala Harris, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Internal Revenue Service, the Indian Health Service, Medicare Administrative Contractors, the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, arbitration, courts, law firms, hospitals, health systems, physicians, and private businesses. Nick was the first person in the United States to be Certified in Provider Compensation Valuation (CPCV) by the American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals.

Nick has presented for continuing educational events for the American Health Law Association, American Bar Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Healthcare Business Management Association, California Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Strafford, and Business Valuation Resources (BVR). He has also authored two books and over one hundred articles.
